उत्सर्ग (Utsarg) is a harsh noise wall act thematically based on religious ritual sacrifices, according to Atharva Dattatreya Smriti, the one behind the act, उत्सर्ग "is the encapsulation of the moment you are taking a life for your devotion towards your इष्ट देवता (Ishta Devata) or your cherished goddess." Delivering his message through Perpetual Abjection, Smriti states that आहुति (Aahuti) is "dedicated to the supreme non-formless deity, churned and purified through many blood sacrifices on the ghats of Kolkata, this auricular oblation culminates to a monolithic aural offering of left hand frequencies, yogic reverberations and resonating chants of abominable intelligence." The two thirty-minute walls, respectively पूर्वम् (Purvam) and पश्चात् (Pashchat), transfer you into a sacrificing ritual oddly surrounded with an industrial environment.
